Position Overview
The EHS Specialist will support the Duncan EHS team in the development, implementation, maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement of Environmental Health and Safety programs, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local Regulatory Requirements, Environmental Management System, ISO14001, and Business Continuity Management System, ISO 22301.
What you’ll do
Coordinate, conduct, and track various training to support company programs
Assist in LOTO Program
Coordinate / perform periodic safety Inspections
Assist Contractor Safety Program
Coordinating continuous improvements projects
Conduct and/or coordinate job safety analysis, industrial hygiene, and other hazard and risk analysis (JSA/JHA)
Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures and practices
Conduct accident / near miss investigations and root cause analysis and may make resolution recommendations. Implement corrective/preventative actions and continuous improvement activities as directed. Maintain various reporting systems and provides safety analysis
Assist in recordkeeping, reporting, and other EHS administrative duties
Respond to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety / security concerns
Who you are
5-7 years direct experience in Environmental, Health and Safety activities and a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
Knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws and regulations as they relate to the Environmental Health and Safety Program is a plus
Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office applications
Experience working with local regulatory agencies preferred
Ability to be on call or work off hours as needed
