Job title: Electromechanical Technician

Purpose
Assure the availability and the reliability of the Jacksonville production equipment by troubleshooting and restoring the functionality of all controls and electrical issues throughout the facility. Secondarily, support to troubleshoot and restore mechanical functionality of equipment
Responsibilities
- Carry out the general maintenance requirements of existing equipment through work orders and scheduling preventative maintenance according to business needs as directed by Value Stream Manager.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting which include 480V/240V circuits, ability to use multimeters, and general instrumentation (HMI, PLCs, remote I/O etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot and install electrical components and devices including but not limited to VFD/Motor, Servo Drive/Motor, Ethernet Valve Banks, Sensors, Transducers, HMI Panels, Flow Meters. Apply knowledge of electrical principles and ability to troubleshoot using electrical schematics. Sufficient ability in. Ability to run milling, lathe, and welding/soldering to fabricate or modify equipment/parts.
- Ability to troubleshoot and install the following; Vacuum Pumps, Positive Displacement Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, Servo Pumps(Hibar), AC/DC motors, and Electrical Components (Relays, Contactors, Fuses, I/O modules)
- Ability to generate, manage, and close out work orders for maintenance activities for the respective Value Stream Team. This is critical to optimizing resources and providing a means of traceability.
- Read and understand schematics/drawings, mechanical prints for all relevant equipment& parts. Ability to use calipers, micrometers, drop gauge, feeler gauge, Multimeter, Megohmmeter, HART communicator, Fluke Calibration 4-20mA/0-10V.
- Willingness to learn and retain knowledge of the basic work instructions for all unit operations by interacting with operators & engineers as needed to support troubleshooting activities.
- Participate with cross-functional Value Stream team in finding solutions to safety, quality, production, and cost opportunities. It is expected of the position to learn and use World Class tools such as 8D Process.
Requirement:
Education:
Industrial Mechanic and/or Electrical training
Experience:
2-3 years industrial controls experience, Preferably mechanical and/or electrical technical education.
Specific Knowledge:
Ability to troubleshoot & install electrical components, centrifugal/PD pumps, and AC/DC motors. Ability to use machinist equipment to fabricate equipment/parts. Sufficient NEC understanding with an in-depth knowledge of electrical principles and ability to troubleshoot using electrical schematics. Advanced knowledge of use with Multimeter, Megohmmeter, HART communicator, Fluke Calibration 4-20mA/0-10V.ements.
