Job Description Summary

Coordinates infrastructure and processes needed to support a facility in accordance with general building standards. Provides maintenance and support for facility infrastructure. Develop and implement energy projects which reduce consumption of energy to goals in a manufacturing environment.

Job Description

  • Handle utility and energy usage tracking; evaluate and benchmark the facilities’ energy performance based on metered energy usage and production data

  • Perform energy audits to identify energy efficiency measures, which cover various energy systems, including lighting, compressed air, and HVAC

  • Use energy software and develop spreadsheet to perform energy efficiency calculations with pay back analysis

  • Review and recommend new technologies and products that would positively impact plant energy consumption

  • Develop estimates and written descriptions of energy conversation measures in support of proposals and technical audits;

  • Develop regression models to predict future and expected energy consumption based on sales and weather data using energy explorer

  • Evaluate plant processes for optimum energy efficiency through energy monitoring systems and other statistical methods, including evaluation of utility bills and manual meter reading

  • Analyze data from internal and external energy reports; Comply with special projects and assignments as needed

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering or Master’s degree in Engineering related field with emphasis in Energy Engineering and minimum of two year experience related experience

  • ASHARE level II energy audit or LEED green associate certification preferred

  • Preferred experience in energy efficient projects; assessment for industrial facilities working; thermodynamics, fluids and heat transfer; HVAC; renewable energy; electrical theory; building control and automation; building and energy modeling as simulation tools including eQuest, trace and DOE-2; and ASHARE Standard 90.1.

  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft office specifically Excel, using functions including macros, VBA, conditional formatting, dynamic charts, etc.

  • Willing to travel to all AAM sites up to 60%
