Ameresco is seeking an experienced Energy Manager to join our Central Region project team located in Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Develop thorough knowledge of market opportunities, trends, and challenges related to the energy conservation and sustainability market;
- Strategically identify energy conservation opportunities for comprehensive solutions including, but not limited to, distributed energy systems, central plants and associated chilled water and steam distribution systems, HVAC systems, controls systems, lighting systems and electrical systems;
- Monitor energy information systems on a daily basis and help customer maintain systems to ensure the accuracy of data and reports;
- Assist Commissioning , Retro-Commissioning, and/or Continuous Commissioning efforts, including offering ideas for future commissioning projects; assist in gathering and evaluating energy information and EMS control data for commissioning projects; track energy savings after completion of projects attend Commissioning meetings and act as a liaison between Ameresco staff and customer;
- Assist customer in identifying ways to achieve published sustainability goals;
- Confidently interact with customer operations groups to understand needs and propose new ideas;
- Assume overall responsibility for the monitoring and energy management of multiple buildings;
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and understanding of entire proposal and contract terms;
- Full time presence on-site at customer location;
- Cultivate and foster both internal and external customer relationships; and
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical degree (Engineering preferred).
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience identifying energy saving opportunities in complex buildings.
Additional Qualifications:
Certified Energy Manager certification preferred.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Customer and solutions focused.
Building and measuring and metering data to prioritize tasks.
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Understanding of IPMVP measurement and verification methodologies.
Knowledge of metering devices, building EUIs and assessing trend data.
Valid Driver’s License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
