Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the health and safety management system is suitable and effective and aligned with the needs of the business,
Engagement with production, engineering, facilities, and project teams to understand and practically support their operational and business health and safety requirements,
Oversee ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems and Certification Body audit schedule,
Support workforce engagement, and HSE culture development initiatives,
Assist in legal/regulatory audits and ensure they are effectively logged and documented within the organization’s framework for legal compliance recording,
Develop and review the HSE policies, procedures, guidance, Job Hazard Analysis and Lock Out Tag Out to ensure they are fit for purpose and up to date in line with our Accreditations and Regulatory Requirements,
Assist in the management of accidents, incidents, Job Hazard analysis, audit, and inspections,
Support managers to address actions arising from Job Hazard analysis, audits, and inspections etc. and ensure that appropriate action is taken and closed out in an agreed timescale,
Ensure that department managers understand and implement the requirements of the HSE Management systems and drive accountabilities,
Co-ordinate regular health, safety and environmental evaluations and audits in line with internal and external HSE audit schedules and support management in rectifying non-conformances and proactively address observations made to drive continuous improvement,
Oversee the Management of Hazardous Waste in compliance with NH Dept. of Env Services Regulations,
Assist in in SDS software Documentation
Support management in the effective communication of HSE to all employees, including safety moments, briefings, safety training, etc.,
Oversee the development, implementation and testing of emergency preparedness and response arrangements,
To lead by example and demonstrate a positive attitude towards the HSE and the cultural improvement initiatives
Education and Experience:
Minimum 5 years working in a large complex, higher risk organization
Strong Environmental Background Experience
Business focused and pragmatic approach to health and safety
Ability to lead and influence at all levels
Excellent presentation and report writing skills
Attention to detail and compliance is imperative
Job Duties and Abilities:
Perform weekly hazardous waste area inspections
Manage hazardous waste area and shipments, manifests, drum supply with vendor Heritage
Submitting monthly HSE metrics to FMC
Performing quarterly hood inspections and air flow testing
Managing VOC logs
Managing MSC account
Performing health and safety section of new hire orientation
Contractor safety orientation
Managing safety committee and members
Overseeing JHA program
Acts on HSE Observations

Personal Protective Equipment:
