ESS Project Manager

Location:  Jacksonville/Remote

   

Position Overview:

Assume overall responsibility for all assigned projects, coordinate the activities of the assigned project team including all changes of scope for ongoing projects

Identify, manage and control project risks to minimize exposure while meeting client needs.

Accountable for revenue recognition, timely and accurate invoicing, and eliminating disputes/past dues.

Report progress on projects to all project stakeholders, internal and external.

Oversee interaction with key suppliers and the ordering of materials for the project.

Ensures a clear understanding of the project Commercial / Technical requirements by the project team.

Ensure QHSE standards are fulfilled during project execution.

Continuously review and improve project management group processes and procedures in order to improve quality, cost, effectiveness, and work efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

Project Management with specific follow-up on:

  • Quality (Project quality requirements)
  • Cost control
  • On-time delivery
  • Project management process (as regards to customers or internal rules)"
  • Managing team (people) activities in the Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing installation & Commissioning  
  • Adheres to PM standards and Business Conduct Guidelines (Tax regulations, Export Control, EHS).
  • Always perform in an ethical and professional manner. Monitor and maintain high level of customer satisfaction.  
  • Responsible for project reporting and communication, with identification of risks
  • Support Sales, Engineering, and Service needs as required.
  • Professional knowledge of EPC project delivery methods including expert working knowledge and understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, estimating, cost control, procurement) with good knowledge of Energy Storage or substations.
  • Strong leadership, motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations with ability to negotiate and manage confrontation topics.   
  • Provide timely status updates for communication to customers and partners.  
  • Support pre-project efforts including Estimation of time and effort Estimation of cost                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Qualifications / Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical

 

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in a similar position – PMP is highly preferred.
  • Strong customer relationship skills

Specific Knowledge

  • Project and Risk Management 

 

Business Understanding

  • Energy/Power Generation
