The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization seeks a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to support the technical aspects of scientific observations, including electronic, electrical, and mechanical. This position is located in Haleakala National Park, HI.

You will train to understand the maintenance requirements of the site and then will be transitioned into a data processing role working with the Air Force Integrated Maintenance Data System. This system tracks preventative maintenance requirements for the equipment, is the spare parts database, generates reliability reports, etc.

Position Responsibilities:

Under direct supervision:

Follow an established preventative maintenance program to repair and maintain plant and laboratory facilities.
Provide basic support in response to trouble calls and becomes knowledgeable of customer service concepts.
Perform basic maintenance and repairs of off-line equipment.
Complete installations and repairs that may involve such skills as electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
Use hand tools in various support functions.

Due to the nature of the work, this position is expected to be fully onsite primarily at Haleakala National Park.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Ability to work above 10,000 feet Above Sea Level (ASL).
A high school diploma of equivalent.
1+ years of experience with facility/plant repair and maintenance (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.).
1+ years of experience working with hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment.
1+ years of experience working from heights and using fall protection equipment with weight limitations.
Experience with complex database tools (i.e. data entry).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and related.
Education or experience in Electronic Systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, or mechanical systems.
Experience operating various machine shop equipment, such as drill press, band-saw, etc.
High Pressure refrigeration maintenance license.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).
