THE OPPORTUNITY

Michelin has an immediate opening for a Human Resources (HR) Manager at one of our facilities to lead the local HR team in recruiting, developing, and compensating people. They will also lead/contribute to the health and safety, quality of life at work, diversity and inclusion, and employee relations at their facility. This opportunity is in Peosta, IA, located just outside of Dubuque, IA. We specialize in off-road rubber track systems for the agriculture industry. Our agriculture track systems give you great versatility to work all year round in your fields, no matter the conditions. WHAT WILL YOU DO

· Lead the site Human Resource’s team to meet company and site personnel and performance objectives.

· Implement and assess compliance to company personnel policies and directives to assist teams at all levels to be empowered and independent.

· Lead and support managers to develop their employee skills and performance in line with the company's needs and the employee’s career aspirations.

· Develop and run events to build constructive social relationship with employees and the community that fosters social cohesion and diversity and inclusion on the site.

· Manage the strategic workforce and succession planning process for the site ensuring that critical jobs and positions are staffed on time and according to the defined business strategy and vision.

· Assist with recruitment efforts and prepare employees for their assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a senior HR professional, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Undergraduate university degree in a related field

  • Professional HR (PHR) or Senior Professional HR (SPHR) Certification is a plus.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team by setting clear goals, delegating tasks effectively, providing regular feedback/coaching, leading by example, fostering a positive work environment, and being accountable for the team’s performance.

  • Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes in a cooperative manner with others.

  • Effective interpersonal skills to show appreciation, use empathy to understand, resolve disputes professionally, and to practice active listening skills.
