What you’ll do
- Install, diagnose, repair, wire, and maintain a variety of electrical and electronic equipment and controls related to production and building equipment. This includes, but not limited to, motors, pumps, relays, circuit breakers, electronic machine controls and circuits, computers, printers, and other equipment.
- Fabricate complex parts to blueprint and work instructions using various hand and power tools as required
- Work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals
- Setup and conduct preventative maintenance (PM) on facilities equipment as well as maintain PM schedules and records as needed
- Install and maintain a wide variety of complicated machine tools, test stands, and building equipment with minimum direction
- Analyze and interpret test data, adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuits and components
- Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazards recognitions, routers, and data
- Continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and procedures to improve safety, quality, and cost of running the equipment
- Participate in continuous improvement/Kaizen activities
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Who you are
- High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Basic math, reading and writing skills
- Ability to effectively communicate, understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Proficient computer skills to access production information as required
- Be familiar with and able to use a basic tool set
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC Systems and/or electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade school degree in HVAC, electrical systems, or overall facilities equipment
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Facilities or equipment maintenance
- Experience in a cleanroom environment
- Microsoft Office and SAP experience (specifically in manufacturing environment)
- Knowledge of an Automate Maintenance Management System
Position Competencies
- Required Lifting Weight: minimum of 35 lbs. Lifting Frequency: Daily
- Required to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours or more)
- Frequently twist and bend
- Be able to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals
- Be able to work with machinery with heights (i.e. work platforms)
- Team player – willing to do what it takes to get the job done and works well with others
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing tasks
- Strong verbal and communications skills
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment (>25% of the time)
- Keen eye for quality – ensuring that machines meet specifications, and is compliant with all policies and procedures including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Shows humility – understands knowledge gaps and strives to continually learn
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skill
