Wheeler Machinery Co is hiring qualified Field Service/Shop Technicians along the Wasatch Front.  These full time benefited positions will be responsible for performing accurate troubleshooting & diagnosing, timely repairs, and component installation on all models of CAT equipment. This opening will require the technician to work in the field as well as the shop. They technician will work where they are needed at that time.

Wheeler Machinery Field Technicians will perform troubleshooting and repairs on all models of Caterpillar equipment, to ensure proper factory specifications and correct system operation.  This may include disassembly and assembly, diagnosis, testing, inspection and in-field/shop general line repair.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Utilize safe working habits in all aspects of the job.
• Perform Field Service troubleshooting and repair work on all models of CAT equipment
• Must be willing to work out of town, overtime and weekends as needed.
• Maintain Rapid Response truck and company provided tooling and equipment.
• Have and maintain a clean MVR (no more than 1 moving violation under the age of 25, and no more than 2 if over the age of 25).
• This is a beginning field technician position. Must have some knowledge and experience repairing equipment but does not need to be a journeyman technician.  
• Good working knowledge of Caterpillar equipment, components, and systems.
• Demonstrated excellent work ethic with self-motivation, ability to work safe with minimal supervision on customer job sites, while maintaining dealership expectations of thoroughness and customer service.
• Have the ability to keep up with new technology and advancements.
