Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for a Flight Test Engineering Senior Manager based out of Oklahoma City, OK or San Antonio, TX. This manager will be responsible for leading a team of managers and engineers who are planning and executing lab, ground, and flight testing for commercial military derivative platforms. Ideal candidates for this position will have a passion for organizational growth and employee development, ability to collaborate across many different internal and external organizations and geographic regions, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

This role will require travel between the Oklahoma City, OK and San Antonio, TX sites as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages level K managers and employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Test & Evaluation

  • Develops and motivates managers and employees

  • Establishes organizational strategy for hiring and training; Ensures resources are in place for projects and processes

  • Develops and performs project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals for the department or organization

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides guidance and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • Experience leading people in a technical environment as a team lead or manager

  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering job classification

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment

  • Skills Management experience

  • Experience interacting with regulatory and/or government agencies

  • Experience with developing training plans

Summary pay range: 144,500 – 210,450
