SUMMARY

Provide technical assistance to Product Engineering, Foundry Engineering, and Production departments.

Assist with tooling layouts and CMM operation.

Perform tasks using computer aided design, time line scheduling, spread sheet, and word processing.

Primary focus will be on continual improvement activities by assisting in planning, directing, and coordinating, in areas of R&D related to product design and project deployment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Foundry Engineers with projects including: coordinating tooling repair and design activities, tracking pattern billing, scheduling and tracking results from sampling runs, and maintaining tooling inventory systems.

Update tracking systems and databases as required.

Perform CAD assignments as needed.

Verify and certify casting dimensions with a variety of measuring instruments.

Assist Foundry Engineering with Product Impact Engineering (P.I.E.) projects.

Maintain communications, through the Foundry Engineering Manager, with customer and Corporate Sales Department concerning pattern and tooling work.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma plus associate degree, or equivalent.

Over three years experience preferred.

Duties are somewhat diversified involving a variety of procedures.

Some judgment to comply with instructions, follow methods, make minor decisions with variations and semi-complex procedures.

Responsible for internal and external contacts involving corrections or adjustments requires tact, judgment and proper conduct.

Requires great attention to detail and accuracy to avoid errors that would cause delay or dissatisfaction.

Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE.
