The Clean-Up/General Labor role is responsible for supporting foundry production. The role offers the opportunity to be cross-trained in all areas including but not limited to: pattern exchange, hauling iron, setting cores, blowing out molds, and clean-up of production areas. This is an ideal position for someone who is a motivated self-starter, interested in various duties, and possesses the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Practice a high level of safety at all times
  • Sweep and shovel sand
  • Setting cores on molding line
  • Pattern setup and pattern exchange
  • Read and follow process sheets
  • Hauling iron
  • Core clean up
  • Using basic hand, air tools, and hand hoists
  • Responsible for machine lock out/tag out
  • Forklift operation as required

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply
  • No previous experience is required, we will train you!
  • No educational requirements
  • Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to tolerate hot working conditions and a loud environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working in small spaces


  • Must be available to work 10-hour shifts
  • Must be available for overtime as production needs require
  • Monday – Friday, some Saturdays required
  • Typical shift hours:
  • 1st shift: 5:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • 2nd shift: 3:00 pm - 1:00 am
  • 3rd shift: 7:00 pm - 5:00 am

Pay rate for Clean Up:

  • Base pay rate of $20.36, 2nd shift premium: $0.70, 3rd shift premium: $0.80
  • 1st shift pay rate: $20.36
  • 2nd shift pay rate: $21.06
  • 3rd shift pay rate: $21.16
  • Base rates increase $1.00/hour upon successful completion of probation (60 working days)
