Job Summary
The General Labor – Production Line Worker is a frontline employee responsible for ensuring good manufacturing practices are being followed at all times in order to safeguard the quality of product so that our customer receive the highest quality possible. This position will be responsible for loading and unloading product from our HPP machines.

Job Responsibilities
• This position requires attention to all aspects of the employee’s duties that impact food quality and safety
• To perform various tasks that include, but not limited to drilling, filling, inspecting, sorting, and packaging of food products to meet quality specifications and quantity standards.
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.

• Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive influence of employees.
• Complies with work rules and standards set forth in the employee handbook.
• Perform any/ all duties as directed by a supervisor, within safe working conditions.
• The employee is expected to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
• The employee is expected to report all concerns about food quality and safety to his/ her immediate supervisor.
• Keeps material available for production by removing the material from the inventory and organize materials in their assigned locations.
• Verifies that materials are correct for production tasks throughout the day.
• Organizes materials on the production floor (V-mag carts, boxes, totes, etc.) and ensures that unused materials are returned to proper storage areas using our ERP scanner.
• Communicates with production leadership to plan production needs.
• Material Handler verifies the accuracy of carrier bills in accordance to applicable laws and company policy.
• Utilizes warehouse tracking system to find product.
• Transports materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas using a forklift or hand truck and scans for proper location. 
• Ensures compliance with all related safety standards.
• Carries out a daily inspection of equipment/forklift.
• Comply with all Company rules, regulations, and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• GED or high school diploma is preferred
• Stand-up Forklift certification is preferred
• Previous experience working in a production environment
• Bilingual (English – Spanish) preferred

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands outlined below are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
• Must be able to work in a cold environment (38-40 F)
• Able to hold stationary positions for extended periods of time
• Able to communicate information accurately to others
• Able to detect and discern sounds accurately in order to exchange information
• Able to move throughout workspace frequently
• Adjust self to stooping, reaching, crouching, and twisting positions on occasion
• Able to observe details at close range, perceive colored images as well as effectively perceive computer generated images on a screen
• Inspect, activate, operate, and position any appropriate machinery functions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work overtime and/or weekends.

Work Environment: 
• Individual will be subject to production and warehouse environment (wet environment with temperatures in the range of 38 to 40 degrees)
• Medium/High noise levels from operating machines and cleaning equipment
• Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts
• Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to enforce Good Food Manufacturing (GMP’s) processes
• Frequently required to use personal protective equipment when using any cleaning chemicals
