Meaningful Work From Day One:

Manage the coordination and timely SAP processing of inbound/outbound shipments for BFC, subsidiaries, co-packers and outside warehouses totaling over $130 million Transportation budget. Manages all shipment and transportation expense audit and processing to over 115 vendors and over 1,000 internal account numbers. Primary liaison for shipment coordination and processing between supply chain integration, internal customers, shipping facilities, transportation vendors, outside warehouses, and foreign suppliers for cost-efficient mode of transport, applicable rate structure, accurate incoterms, and vendor payment. A global liaison on operational execution and analytical support. Adhere to all global compliance and transportation policies and procedures.

What You Can Expect:
  • Analyze and complete daily shipment routings to accomplish the highest transportation service level at the lowest possible cost through the correct mode of transportation and carrier selection.

  • Collaborate with internal/external customers throughout the supply chain to ensure expected service level/cost balance while adhering to all global compliance requirements.

  • Analyze vendor and carrier performance and identify opportunities for process improvements. Coordinate shipment activities between brokers, carriers, and freight forwarders to expedite/trace the movement of packing supplies, raw materials, bulk liquid, finished goods, and point-of-sale materials.

  • Maintain direct communication throughout the Supply Chain relating to delivery and logistics inquiries and seek problem resolution.

  • Manage the SAP architectural structure and data accuracy of routes, freight rates, route determination, transportation zones and carrier ranking tables and all applicable surcharges: fuel surcharge, stop-offs, and miscellaneous charges into the SAP Automated Freight Payment System.

  • Manage SAP Transportation Module for accurate freight payment and order processing.

  • Manage the first line of engagement to offer global logistics services support for all global internal customers (SCS, S/P, POS, etc.), for all modes of transportation and provide resolution or escalation for a solution.

  • Analyze and summarize logistics data from SAP and associated databases to produce standard, ad-hoc reports, and presentations for Logistics Department, Supply Chain Management and other internal/external customers.

  • Responsible for data integrity, analysis, and summation of KPI’s into metric packages, standardized management reports and Logistics Department budget, while utilizing numerous department systems and software packages.

  • In the spirit of continuous improvement, develop and provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting that is designed to further supply chain understanding and impact of significant business issues.

  • Construct a logical approach to business issues, articulate findings, and conclusions in both oral and written format.

  • Adhere to all U.S. Government and Customs global regulations and procedures for transportation and compliance.

  • Comply with and provide support to all import/export activities, pertaining to Incoterms, commodity classification, harmonization tariff (HTS, Schedule B) and country of origin.

  • Troubleshoot global transportation/logistics supply chain issues to support internal/external customers

  • Manage vendor assignment for inquiries and payment. Monitor execution of established transportation routing guide for global shipments by transportation mode, and carrier from B-F shipping facilities and 3rd party warehouses.

  • Manage daily shipment cost process and resolve all SAP error logs. Analyze and solve all problems related to processing shipments within SAP not limited to Incoterms, mode of transport, and carrier selection. Ensures SAP freight payments are timely and accurate, so freight expense is recognized during the appropriate tax/accounting period.

  • Manage and coordinate freight payment activities via Excel upload or manual payment. Perform audit process to ensure freight rate structure, accurate internal account numbers, and freight classification to assign for the correct distribution of freight expenses.

  • Initiate, research, file and track insurance freight claims for loss or damages.

  • Manage small package carrier databases for all BF employees and their global shipments.

  • Assist with data analysis, reporting, and projects as assigned by the Logistics Management team.

  • Provide back-up support within the department to meet business needs.

What You Bring To The Table:
  • Education: College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Business, Supply Chain or related discipline

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of related experience or 7 - 10 years of combined education and experience.

  • Demonstrated understanding of principles of Logistics, Distribution and Supply Chain.

  • Experience with import/export, and Customs Compliance in the international beverage or consumer goods industry.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with internal/external customers and all global contacts.

  • Analytical skills with the ability to apply to business solutions.

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written.

  • Independently manage, plan, and organize, workload within established deadlines in a team-oriented, high-volume, dynamic environment.

  • Technical aptitude utilizing operational support software including but not limited to SAP or similar ERP System, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, & Analysis for Office/Business Warehouse.

  • Familiar with Foreign Currency Exchange

  • Ability to manage detailed and ambiguous information with a high degree of accuracy.
