As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will build, integrate, and operate the hardware environment we use for verifying the performance of avionics for various spaceflight systems. This job will expose you to many different aspects of spaceflight vehicles! You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system development and operations.

Duties include assembling HIL hardware, ordering and tracking materials, troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies, building cable assemblies, integrating avionics and ground support hardware into the HIL, supporting system testing, and updating HIL documentation and drawings. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Qualifications:
  • 2+years of experience with aerospace avionics wire harnesses

  • Good understanding of basic electronics

  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and written assembly procedures

  • Proficient in the use of basic electronic lab test equipment, such as power supplies and handheld multimeters

  • Basic digital literacy and familiarity with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, etc)

  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention-to-detail, and desire for continuous improvement Ability to thrive as a member of a team

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:
  • 2 year Associates degree in electrical or electronic engineering technology

  • Current or expired harness assembly, crimping and soldering certifications (IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A 610 and J-STD-001)

  • Experience with 5S practices, such as shadow boarding

  • Experience with inventory management
