What you will be doing

What we are really looking for is a dynamic relationship builder who has a passion for data analytics in a healthcare setting to support a leading academic medical center located onsite in Hershey, PA.

Candidate will be onsite Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center but may need to travel as needed to:

  • Develops and sustain long-term customer relationships while engaging customers at all levels, include senior levels of the customers organization to drive optimal experience.

  • Understands customer-specific nuances and ensures internal teams have knowledge needed to drive alignment between the customer and internal AB stakeholders to effectively service the customer.

  • Provides onsite customer support, acts as a liaison, and point of escalation for health system in working collaboratively with AmerisourceBergen. (e.g., onboarding/offboarding, conversion activities, and process/policy/technology changes).

  • Serves as the on-site subject matter expert (SME) for AmerisourceBergen Ordering platforms and associated report generation and interpretation. Responsible for discussing new enhancements and functionality that will benefit the customer.

  • Partners appropriately with external client representatives and internal AmerisourceBergen support to ensure business goals are aligned and tracked.

  • Meets with Client stakeholders to establish mutually agreed upon timelines for reporting, metrics and progress updates.

  • Participates in regularly required service compliance training. Completes all training on time.

  • Delivers regular updates to Client on resolved issues and status of critical backordered items. Reviews AmerisourceBergen purchasing reports as well as pharmacy system reports for opportunities and summarizes into concise data for review by Client and AmerisourceBergen leadership.

  • Participates in projects focused on Client saving initiatives such as GPO, contract optimization, and/or inventory optimization. Discuss AmerisourceBergen clinical solutions to client where applicable.

  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external senior-level management to understand customer needs, maximize retention and growth, and communicate initiatives/milestones

  • Performs related duties as assigned

Responsible for managing the following metrics for the client:

  • Allocation tracking reports

  • Backorder reports

  • Contract compliance reports

  • Generic conversion opportunity reports

  • 340B savings reports (where applicable)

  • Quarterly business review

  • Savings opportunity reports

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Any project management, data analytics or general medical experience

  • Bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification is a plus

  • Pharmaceutical purchasing experience is a plus

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Strong verbal and written communication, strategic planning, and project management skills

2. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; able to present information professionally and effectively to customers, associates, and management.

3. Strong customer service skills

4. Analytical and process-oriented mindset

5. Comfortable working across multiple departments in a deadline-driven environment

6. Strong time management skills; ability to schedule customer appointments in advance

7. Good understanding of specific business segment

8. Good understanding of AmerisourceBergen Solutions support network, able to understand who can best resolve issues

9. Up-to-date knowledge of spreadsheet and presentation software and equipment
