Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Mid-Level Modeling and Simulation Environment Software Developer to join our diverse team supporting the Integrated Threat Analysis and Simulation Environment (ITASE) program.

ITASE provides a critical role in our nation’s defense by bringing together intelligence-backed, medium to high fidelity threat system models developed across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise into an integrated wargame simulation environment. Parsons has supported this program for ten years, with an established team and customer relationships. Because the need for accurate and integrated modeling, simulation and analysis continues to grow we are expanding our team to adapt to new challenges.

This developer will be a member of the ITASE Architecture and Tools team, which develops application programming interface (API) software to facilitate threat system model interactions in a common environment. These APIs include tactical C4ISR communications, electromagnetic spectrum events, kinetic events, counter space operations, cyber operations, environment data, and joint force modeling in land, sea, space, surface and cyber. The developer will also be involved with graphical user interfaces to support the configuration, execution, visualization, and analysis of complex wargame scenarios.

The developer will work closely with the testing, threat system developers and the user community to produce a reliable and stable environment with regular delivery cycles and software patches. The results of simulations developed with ITASE are analyzed to provide direct and timely intelligence support to the warfighter.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing solutions for modeling and simulation software
• Developing software and automated tests using C/C++ and Python on Windows and Linux Platforms
• Troubleshooting and reporting software anomalies in a complex environment
• Working in a team environment
• Managing code quality through version control, code review, automated software builds, automated unit testing.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• No security clearance required to start, but candidate must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and/or maintain) a DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution, or additional years of experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong C++ programming skills
• Good written and oral communication skills, as well as a desire to work with a highly technical team including classified customers
• Experience developing and supporting software for Windows

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Active TS/SCI
• Experience developing products with regular release cycles
• Software development in a DevOps or DevSecOps environment
• Python programming skills including integration of C++ code with Python
• Experience with Windows/Linux cross platform software development
• Experience working with an AGILE software development team
• Experience with API development or plugin-based GUI development
• Experience designing, developing, or operating code for a distributed processing environment
• Experience with working with environmental datasets such as terrain, road networks, atmospheric data, RF propagation data, etc.
• Experience working with signature data, such as radar cross section or EO/IR datasets
• Experience with Gitlab or Jenkins is a plus.

Salary Range:
