Identity Management is a vital security and infrastructure operations component to the Collins Aerospace Business. Team members of Collins Identity work across the Collins Aerospace organization and with corporate shared services to deliver solutions that help the business by automating processes, performing data analysis, and representing good security practices. The Collins Identity team is a vital bridge between Identity data and business operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for being a technical lead for the Ping Directory Identity platform of products hosted by Collins Identity. Candidate will work with a team of technical employees and contractors to enhance to the existing PingDirectory Identity product stack, AWS automation, and user management interfaces. Candidate will work alongside leadership to design, develop, and implement a Collins External Identity User Management Platform. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that solutions meet security and compliance requirements as dictated by Raytheon Technology. Candidates will have extensive experience with Identity and Access Management solutions, methodologies, and best practices. Candidates should have knowledge of code development, cloud hosting, and automation solutions. Candidate must possess superior collaboration and relationship building skills to form close working relationships with the employees and contractors he will be the technical lead for. Candidate must also be able to establish these positive working relationships with business and application teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance the PingDirectory Identity technology stack (PingDirectory, PingProxy, PingDataSync).

  • Collaborate with Collins Aerospace Infrastructure staff to become familiar with automated hosting environment and lead the support and maintenance of this environment. This work could include server application version upgrades and patches, AWS hosting environment updates, and AWS network/dns re-configuration.

  • Work with Collins Aerospace BU application owners to troubleshoot application problems and bring resolution to cross-system issues.

  • Attend meetings with application owners and business analysts to help define technical and security requirements for applications and then implement solutions to meet those requirements.

  • Ensure all current solutions and new developments are implemented in a secure and compliant manner that meets corporate and regulatory policies.

  • Extend knowledge across identity domains to help support the larger Collins Identity team. This will include taking part in an on-call rotation.

  • Work with senior leadership to sustain identity management as a value-add service

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

  • Experience with software development lifecycle

  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management solutions

  • Knowledge of cross-application integration technologies, web services, data transfer, and workflows

  • 3 years previous experience in managing PingDirectory stack (pingProxy, PingDataSync, PingDirectory)

  • Experience developing in one or more Object Oriented Programming languages in software development at a professional level.

  • Previous experience working with AWS automated hosting solutions

  • Server Administration (Windows and Unix) Experience

  • Understanding of DNS, TCP / IP protocols, clustering, load balancing, firewalls

  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols such as: Kerberos, NTLM, SAML, OAuth, SPML, etc.

  • Ability to work on a complex technical system.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, resolve, and find the root cause of issues promptly, even under pressure.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and follow through on commitments.

  • Demonstrate self-motivation, decisiveness, and a positive teamwork attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CISSP Certification

  • Experience with Python is a plus.

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
