Job Description Summary

The Co-op’s primary focus will be in learning the basics of a Data Scientist position by applying AAM Business processes, data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, building high quality prediction systems, consolidate information from various places to help the business to find answers, recommend solutions that help the business to take meaningful actions.

Job Description

  • Learn business processes. Identify areas of improvements. Provide recommendations to streamline business processes.
  • Understand Basics of Machine Learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
  • Able to Learn common data science Languages, such as Python.
  • Understand data in the AAM underlying systems. Connect data points into more meaningful answers.
  • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
  • Support Business users to help them to find answers / recommend what actions to be taken
  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Ready to learn Cloud Service environments, Snowflake, AWS, Azure
  • Willing to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Maintain server operational, configuration, or other procedures and documentation.
  • Work with the business users in various functional areas to understand the business requirements.
  • Coordinate activities of vendors/consulting firms responsible for any AAM systems/projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or Business
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on 4.0 Scale
  • Must be able to work in U.S. without sponsorship
  • Completed one full year of college (rising Sophomore)
