Summary

The Information Technology Data Specialist has responsibility for reviewing, validating, and interpreting raw data, correcting transactions, and validating transaction changes to competition. The Data specialist is a member of the Help Desk team and supports with the resolution of open support tickets.

 

The IT Generalist reports to the Director of IT and supports the Musco organization through defining problems, collecting data, and drawing conclusions.  This resource addresses pending issues in a timely manner and effectively presents information to management.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the organizational data is secure, updated, and correct.
  • Identify and support user needs to create and maintain up-to-date database.
  • Analyze data to identify patterns and trends, providing summaries to management.
  • Leverage experience with a variety of programming languages to support end-users.
  • Review, interpret and clean up data as part of maintaining company database.
  • Assess and optimize the company’s network of computer systems.   
  • Guide employees through problem solving by obtaining supporting facts from users to help M.I.S. solve the issue.  
  • Interact with the broader M.I.S. staff by using excellent people and communication skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree or certification; OR 2 years of related work experience
  • Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and Microsoft SQL.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to perform collaboratively as a team member.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Science with 2 years of related work experience
  • Basic knowledge and experience with data technologies that are used in manufacturing environment.

 Compensation for this position range from $44,000 to $67,000 annually, based on experience.
