Position Summary


The Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative sells products over the phone, making outbound calls to prospective customers, answering inbound customer inquiries, producing quotations, promoting products and services, closing sales and acting as a liaison between outside sales representatives and customer accounts.



Principle Accountabilities


  • Answers inbound phone calls from customers looking for product quotes, purchases, or other inquiries.
  • Makes outbound calls to prospective and current customers to follow up and close sales opportunities.
  • Produces quotations using the Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs.
  • Assists with all walk-in customers and sales calls.
  • Coordinates order processing with Project Managers, Customer Service Representatives and Outside Sales team.
  • Attends internal meetings to exchange product information and coordinate work activities with other departments.
  • Assists Outside Sales Representatives and Customer Service Representatives with post-sale customer support, submittal information and order entry.


Position Requirements


The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated sales experience. Other desired qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Preferred Education: Some coursework after high school.
  • Preferred Experience: Between 2 and 5 years.
  • 2+ years of experience working in the construction industry as a supplier, contractor, or office support function - Required.
  • Working knowledge of plans, prints, drawings, and detailed plan specifications per customer requirements.
