INTEGRATED TACTICAL PLANNING MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY:

Are you ready to join a US Best Managed Company? KENT® Corporation is seeking an Integrated Tactical Planning Manager! This role will manage the Integrated Tactical Planning (ITP) process which focuses on the near-term planning horizon. They will be responsible for identifying when demand materializes differently than planned by monitoring demand execution performance and providing feedback to the Demand Planning Manager. 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and develop the ITP process
  • Lead weekly cross functional planning review meetings addressing gaps within supply and demand in the 0 to 13-week planning horizon
  • Responsible for working with sales and customer service to identify when demand materializes differently than planned in the short-term tactical planning horizon
  • Coordinate with Sales Management on demand prioritization process when it is greater than planned and communicate those decisions to supply
  • Work with sales and/or the commercial organization to make forecast consumption decisions and communicate such decisions to the supply organization, commercial organization the demand manager
  • Work with the supply team (operations, procurement, transportation, warehousing) in order to determine when supply is developing differently than planned or is unable to meet the requirements of the demand plan
  • Maintain visibility to manufacturing constraints to drive optimized supply planning activities
  • Support the cross-plant production plan, ensuring componentry and finished goods are in ideal locations based on the forecasted and real requirements
  • Ensure executional alignment with operational leadership and master planning
  • Assist in the creation and review of sales order sourcing strategies
  • Develop and maintain a scenario planning/priority sequencing process with a cross functional team
  • Manage tactical planning KPIs throughout the month, providing feedback to the demand planning manager if demand plan tolerances may be exceeded, so that appropriate actions can be taken
  • Escalate KPI issues and solutions to resolve to the IBP Manager
  • Measure and perform root cause analysis on the number of changes within the firm time zone. Communicate analysis to appropriate group (or person) who is responsible for taking corrective actions

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of experience of supply planning, demand planning, material control or related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Data Analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or creating dashboards via Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems with an understanding of master planning and forecasting practices
  • Experience in ITP/S&OE or IBP/S&OP process

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering
