The inventory Controls Manager will lead, supervise, and control the operational workflow of inventory processes and procedures for supply chain operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Inventory, this role will utilize inventory resources for planning, forecasting inventory levels, tracking, analyzing, auditing, and reporting all inventory needs.
Reconciles discrepancies in inventories and notifies supervisor of irregularities.
Requirements
Specific Responsibilities Include:
· Develops and implements policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory control with the goal of maximizing efficiency and optimizing workflow.
· Ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy
· Lead, supervise and direct the inventory team in maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
· Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics
· Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs
· Perform process and system testing and track performance by area to locate and solve problems in data integrity, productivity, and efficiency
· Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories.
· Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
· Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis
· Monitor delivery schedule and customer orders
· Cross-functional support and coordination with the manufacturing department for forecasting inventory needs
· Comply with plant safety procedures to ensure a safe environment
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent work experience
· 3+ years of experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies
· Progressive leadership experience, leading and managing teams
· Product and inventory management certification a plus

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as inventory software
· Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed and continuous improvement
· Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
· Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to participate in a cross-functional team
· Possess a mentality of continuously improving, ability to drive towards results and self-accountability
Physical Requirements
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Prolonged standing and frequent walking in the warehouse environment
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
