Inventory Parts Specialist

Brooklyn Bottling is currently accepting resumes to support our Maintenance
department in the capacity of Part and Inventory specialist. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is capable of supporting a rapidly growing department. We need someone who experienced in using ordering criteria along with an understanding of the manufacturing industry to help in the daily reorder process, new inventory purchasing, and expansion projects
Responsibilities
Performs inventory control, orders, receives and stocks parts and tools in a
timely and efficient manner; ensures competitiveness of pricing and provides reports as requested.
Reviews part and tool invoices to ensure accurate and timely processing;
obtains proper approvals and forwards for payment.
Receive and record deliveries of parts from vendors
Unload delivery trucks if necessary
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment; ensures parts and tools are
properly stored and performs general housekeeping of assigned area.
Mirror match part orders to corresponding repair orders
Inspect and check in parts, identify damage upon delivery
Monitor Deliveries
Handle accurately parts requests from Maintenance Mechanics
Issue parts from inventory to work orders (kitting of work orders)
Process parts/core returns for shipping
Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
Promptly notifies parts management of any shortages and customer
satisfaction issues.
Participate in physical inventory process as needed.
Assists in maintaining all departmental tools and equipment are in good
working order.
Participates in training to improve knowledge and performance as
requested.
May be assigned special projects by management as required.
Manage back order fulfillment.
Oversee the returning of the slow-moving products.
Assist in developing standardized inventory controls for all locations.
Additional data development concerning our current databases.
Provide assistance to the Department Manager on any additional inventory
or data needs.
Performs other job-related duties as may be assigned or required by
management.
This position will be part of the Manufacturing environment, the ideal
candidate will be comfortable in this setting.
A clean driving record is required.
Required experience:
5 years experience in inventory management - purchasing.
Microsoft Office experience with Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
Previous experience working with vendors.
Food Manufacturing or bottling experience preferred
Bilingual in Spanish will be a big plus
Basic parts and machinery knowledge
Ability to work in a team environment
High School diploma or equivalent experience
Ability to read and understand basic instructions, written estimates, and
work orders.
Multi-tasking; adapt easily to fast-paced environments.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel and pull.
Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 80lbs)
Standing, sitting, and walking
Performing repetitive motions
You should be proficient in:
- Forklift Licensed
- Meets Physical Requirements
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Excellent Communication Skills
- High School / GED
