The IT Security Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and technology systems within our organization. The primary responsibility will be to assist in safeguarding our digital assets against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.

This position works closely with the IT Security team, under the guidance of experienced professionals, to monitor and analyze security events and incidents, identify potential vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate controls and countermeasures. In addition, the focus will be on maintaining the security of our systems and networks, responding to security incidents, and assisting in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily:

Essential Functions:

• Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission

• Assists with researching new security technologies and developing long-term strategic plans and road maps

• Develops and implements project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans

• Liaises with L2 support groups and/or development groups to collaborate on the resolution of incidents

• Maintains and monitors network security

• Develops and designs enterprise security training

• Collaborates with other IT professionals to resolve complex issues

• Maintains documentation of security configurations and processes

• Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation as it relates to security

• Works safely and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards

• Performs other duties assigned

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in related field required

• 3+ years of equivalent work experience preferred

• Certification Levels preferred: CEH, OCSP, SSCP, CASP+

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Solid knowledge of security monitoring and incident response

• Solid knowledge of defense in depth security strategies

• Solid knowledge of firewalls, SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and cloud security concepts

• Solid knowledge of vulnerability assessment, management, and vulnerability assessment tools such as Qualys and Nessus

• Solid knowledge of security controls and countermeasures, security awareness and training, security documentation, and reporting

• Solid knowledge of cloud-based security initiatives

• Strong communication skills

• Solid skill in implementing and monitoring control routines to ensure system integrity

• Ability to work collaboratively with other IT professionals

• Ability to diagnose and determine corrective actions to be taken on complex technical issues

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and prioritize work tasks

• Ability and motivation to learn and implement new technologies

• Ability to excel in a team environment, which emphasized total cooperation, consistent communication, and mutual respect

• Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively (both written and verbally)

• Ability to manage support cases with external technology vendors

Travel:

• 15% travel, including overnight stays, may be required
