Job Summary

In this role, you will report to Supervisor, On-Site Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Springhouse, PA 19477

Schedule: 1st Shift M-F/ 7:30am to 4pm

COVID-19 Vaccination is Required for this position.

What we’re looking for

· Education: High School Diploma or GED required

· Experience:1-2 years' experience in a laboratory setting and understanding of laboratory equipment, previous experience working in a GMP facility a plus

· Collaboration Tool: Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel

· Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills; display a professional can-do attitude.

  • Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality.

  • Must be flexible, motivated, and have the ability to act independently.

  • Will need to be able to safely lift up to 50lbs.

  • Must exhibit core values and behaviors (Integrity, respect, collaboration, accountability, etc)

  • Will need to be able to work independently.

  • Must have the ability to understand, read, and write technical information.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

  • Receive and unpack packages with samples.

  • Check-in (add to database) of new samples to the departments database.

  • Receive samples sent within database and make sure they are processed properly.

  • Store dry samples in the storage system.

  • Pack dry and liquid samples for shipment.

  • For shipment of samples: create shipping documents, follow defined trade compliance procedures and arrange/create shipment with couriers.

  • Maintain Inventory of lab supplies and materials
