LIQUID MIXER JOB SUMMARY
The Mixing Lead is accountable for ensuring that all mixing materials scheduled for completion are executed in a timely manner while maintaining quality and safety standards. The Mixing Lead will be responsible for leading the liquid mixers by example - ensuring that the team is mixing raw materials to create finished products according to batch tickets. In this position, you will be weighing out raw material goods utilizing available equipment, following all management instructions and cascading messages where appropriate, holding your team accountable for product output, and following all bill of materials and updating documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Identify and weigh out quantities of powder or liquid chemicals following the instructions written on the batch sheet.
- Transport raw materials from storage to blending areas.
- Pour or dump chemicals into a mixing vessel.
- Operate blending equipment.
- Empty contents of mixing vessel by operating valves to transfer product from mixing tank to transfer tanks, totes, drums, or pails.
- Follow safety and housekeeping procedures.
- Clean and maintain blending equipment and warehouse floors.
- Maintain a continual alert for hazardous conditions.
- Wears all required PPE.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Communicate with your team and supervisors.
- Good with numbers/math.
- Follow strict BOMs for our formulations.
- Must have a continuous improvement mind frame.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliability and accountability are core strengths.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
This job will be the head of our Mixing Team and report to the Operations Manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
Experience driving a forklift.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and understand batch sheets and Safety Data Sheets.
