About the Role

The logistics coordinator role is responsible for freight management on inbound/outbound shipments, processes all paperwork in computer software system, inventory control accuracy, organization of Teel storage space and outside warehousing. Coordinates all moves of material with company truck. Prepare and maintain approved carrier list.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Prefer in descending order of significance)

  • Analyzes and interprets inbound/outbound shipments for accuracy.
  • Manage all freight movements.
  • Lead contact for all customer shipment requests
  • Communicate between office personnel and logistics clerks/material handlers.
  • Communicate between shifts to ensure workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized area.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory/aged inventory.
  • Manage approved carrier list.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


  • Education: High School diploma
  • 2 or more years of experience with freight management
  • Training and experience with warehousing and material handling
  • Shows leadership skills.
  • Preferred forklift certification.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Travel Requirements – none.

Physical Demands:

  • Sedentary for a lot of the day, however frequent walking sometimes. Occasional lifting of up to 75lbs for receiving purposes.
  • Shipping dock can be an exposure area to extreme temperatures and high noise and dust levels.
