SUMMARY
The Planner provides a safe operating environment by planning and scheduling the installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, equipment and utility systems. The Maintenance Planner works with the Sr. Maintenance Specialist and the Maintenance team in developing the scheduled maintenance programs for the production facility to minimize impact on production. The planner plans for interruptions/short stops during normal machine run-time and develops back-up plans to minimize interruptions for the production facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
● Receive and investigate all maintenance work order requests.
● Review each work order for scope of work, location, equipment, priority, charge numbers, coding, and authorization. Secures needed blueprints,drawings, safety procedures, etc., for each work order. Consults with other members of the Maintenance Department when their expertise is needed.
● Determines the best way to accomplish each work order and creates a job package showing sequence of steps, number of maintenance and support personnel needed, as well as materials, supplies, tools, and equipment needed. Arranges for the delivery of any needed materials/equipment to the plant.
● Estimates the cost of each work order in terms of labor and materials. Communicates with department managers if any work orders cannot be scheduled within the prescribed priority lead-time.
● Reviews all completed work orders for accuracy, edits and applies correct historical data. Develops multiple reports (Requesters, Craft completions, Work Type (PM, REM, Safety, etc.) based from Maximo/CMMS database input.
● Participate in all planning meetings for down days, shutdowns, and expected shortstops.
● Maintains the backlog file of work orders awaiting scheduling according to their priority limits, with an estimated completion date
● Maintains an up-to-date listing of work orders that could be completed during an unexpected short-stop and year-end shutdown.
● Develops a weekly maintenance work schedule that includes preventive maintenance work.
● Run forecast of next week's labor availability and reviews proposed scheduled assignments with Supervisors prior to locking down schedule.
● Issues and discusses the schedule and quality of work with area supervisors. Once the maintenance schedules have been completed, review them with the area supervisors
● Coordinates the requisition of all predetermined parts, materials, and special tools, and ensures that needed equipment will be available and ready.
● Arranges for any safety procedures such as pre-job inspections and fire watches.

• High School Diploma
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment

Under This Roof, We Also Value
• Certification from Technical College
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
• Mechanical or Electrical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Workspace and AODocs
• Knowledge of Maximo preferred General knowledge/skills (Intermediate)
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent communication skills
