Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking to hire a Manager of EAS Program Managment in Lynnwood, WA.
Job Summary:
The Manager of Engineering Applications & Services (EAS) Program Management provides functional oversight of a subset of associates in the Program Management Office and is responsible for PM skillset development, ensures program process compliance, and ultimately is accountable for the schedule, technical, and financial performance of the programs in their portfolio. While individual PMs will be directly reporting into this position, the candidate in this role will also be expected to personally lead programs deemed essential to fulfillment of business objectives. The Manager of Program Management reports to the Group Director of EAS and as such will support the planning and achievement of financial objectives, report program status to company leadership, and interact with suppliers and customers as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Drive tactical management of programs to ensure that they are completed on time and within budget, with deliverables adhering to high standards of quality that fulfill customer expectations. Hold self, team and organization accountable to meet commitment
- Work with the Program Manager and Integrated Project Team to ensure that program scope is fully understood and documented in a comprehensive Integrated Master Schedule that incorporates all internal and external dependencies and deliverables, tracks resource availability and demand, and identifies and aligns program milestones with contractual need dates
- Engage with all stakeholders to identify and proactively address program risks and opportunities
- Ensure necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve difficulties which may impede progress or compromise achievement of scheduled milestones. Serve as focal point for customer escalation and issue resolution
- Analyze resource requirements and constraints to recommend project staffing; create and maintain staffing plans to support current and future work demands and project deliverables
- Drive adherence to requirements and change management processes throughout program lifecycle. Support submission and negotiation of scope changes, assertions, and claims
- Develop a strong culture of metrics-based management, continuous improvement and incorporation of lessons learned
- Develop, implement, and maintain metrics to evaluate PM group performance; report and track against defined KPI’s. Lead periodic reviews of key projects and monitor progress via monthly Program Management Reviews. Ensure accuracy of program status
- Assist with EAS group and engineering financial management activities in partnership with Finance
- Track and confirm accuracy of project costs and submit “Estimate to Complete” projections
- Support preparation of project appropriation requests including coordination and review of statement of work, cost estimates, and program schedules. Evaluate the ability to execute projects to meet customer needs within organizational constraints and anticipated risks
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching on project-specific tasks to promote Program Manager skills refinement and professional development
- Manage PM group intellectual capital. Responsible for the selection, hiring, training, assignment, development, and evaluation of Program Managers; Build a strong team with complementary strengths; Provide for staff continuity
- Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management
- Minimum Qualifications:
Experience
- 10+ years’ experience in managing PLM projects or similar enterprise digital applications
- 5+ years’ experience managing direct reports, or comparable personnel oversight and development
Knowledge
- Expertise in Program Management philosophies and processes, and the ability to train and educate others as require
- Knowledge of software maintenance lifecycles; Strong knowledge of enterprise class applications including Teamcenter and Oracle; Strong understanding of underlying application and infrastructure technologies involved in building and maintaining core product life cycle management systems.

- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple assignments and have cognizance of projects managed by assigned resources.
- Ability to translate product and process requirements in an Aerospace environment into a PLM system, its interfaces and capabilities.
- Ability and maturity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of company personnel.
- Ability to use transactional process improvement techniques through Kaizen, or similar events, to solve complex business problems.
- Good business sense, with a fundamental understanding of business initiatives and company-wide activities both within and outside of the EAS discipline.
- Comfort with presenting status to executive leadership, internal and external
Education/Certification: BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with a focus on design and solutions architecture, development & implementation.
- This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some experience in a technical field preferred, preferably aerospace
- MBA or comparable advanced management degree
- Formal training in Program and / or Systems Management (PMI or equivalent)

Salary range: $165,000 to $186,000 Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Compensation packages also include comprehensive benefits, 401K contribution and match, Paid Time Off, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement and more.
