OVERVIEW: Provides direct management oversight in several key areas to ensure the Delivery Department has the proper People, Tools and support needed to meet the needs of Suncoast Customers. This person Interacts daily with all levels of employees within the organization. This position reports directly to Director of Delivery and Service.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the day-to-day administrative functions of the Delivery Department including applicant interviews, employee onboarding, employee offboarding, employee training and development, and performance and talent management.
  • Oversee the training team to ensure all newly hired Delivery team personnel including Drivers and Delivery Assistants are trained effectively and understand all required rules and guidelines to ensure they are successful in their new roles.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date files, records, and documentation and manage the routing systems, maintain payroll accountability for daily activities.
  • Work with other departments to ensure all driver pay is accurate and on time, new accounts are added for routing, and other general management duties assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Assist in the improvement of existing processes, procedures, forms, and manuals.
  • Manage day to day routing of delivery routes for multiple locations daily, forecast routing plans for future changes, and monitor delivery routes.
  • Develop and maintain reports necessary for operational analysis and any other report pertinent to the department as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Delivery methods and procedures, talent management, and DOT regulations.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support including but not limited to filing, scanning, posting, special projects, memos, and other communications.
  • Perform any other job-related tasks as required.

Job Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • PC proficiency, knowledge of Microsoft Office, Routing Software, & Payroll Software.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary.
  • Significant managerial, communication, customer service and leadership skills.
  • Complete all required training and continuing education for the position.
  • Strong managerial, communication, customer service and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of and competent in computer technology necessary for the position.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
