On September 14, 2022, Danaher announced its intention to separate its Environmental & Applied Solutions segment to create an independent, publicly traded company. The new company will be called Veralto and will be comprised of an outstanding collection of market-leading brands in Danaher's Environmental and Applied Solutions (EAS) segment: Hach, ChemTreat, Trojan, OTT HydroMet, and McCrometer from Danaher's Water Quality Platform and Videojet, Esko, X-Rite Pantone and Linx from the Product Identification Platform. About The Role
Reporting to the Director of Tax Compliance and Audits, the Manager of Federal Tax will be located onsite in Waltham, MA.
Works with a team to accurately prepare and timely file the corporate consolidated federal and state income tax returns, including extensions and estimated tax payments
Preparation and review of book/tax differences for the preparation of US income tax returns
Review state tax apportionment and analysis of various state adjustments for incorporation into quarterly estimated payment calculations and year-end tax return
Assist with ASC 740 analysis including provision to return and year-end review of domestic entities
Research and document relevant tax laws regarding positions taken on tax returns
Identify risks, obstacles and issues; recommend solutions and work with management to resolve escalated issues
Support internal teams by providing subject matter expertise and informal training to the team
Participate in special projects related to domestic income tax issues
Partner with business teams to establish processes and facilitate continuous process improvement
Proactively pursue professional development activities (attending training, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, etc.)
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA license or Master’s degree is desirable
3+ years of corporate income tax experience
FDII, BEAT and R&E credit experience a plus
Proficient understanding and experience with ASC 740
Advanced analytical skills
Must be highly motivated and communicate in a highly professional and articulate manner verbally and in writing
Ability to manage multiple complex assignments
Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
CORPTax compliance and/or provision software desirable
Knowledge of accounting, the US tax systems, and tax compliance law a plus
Strong accounting background
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong desire to build upon existing corporate tax compliance knowledge and experience
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Advanced oral and written communication skills
