Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity available for a Manufacturing Engineer.

Starting pay is $80,000 to $95,000.

Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the preparation of job specifications for Mechanical production process by ordering tools, writing SOP’s (process sheets), creating CAD drawings, and developing CNC and PLC programing to ensure an efficient production flow.  Supporting the development of new and existing equipment, including the development of programing and capabilities, secondary operations, and tooling. 

  • Read and interpret customer specification to determine procedures and operational sequence.
  • Participate in the initial phases of new products to assist in the design for cost-effective manufacturing.
  • Prepare jobs specifications for the production process by ordering tools, writing SOP’s (process sheets), developing CNC & PLC programs, and creating process drawings to ensure a well flowing manufacturing operation.
  • Create drawings, routings and bills of materials as required.
  • Perform complex machine set ups and critical operations.
  • Troubleshoot operating, material, and tooling problems.
  • Process all necessary documentation for (first article) to ensure customer specification are met.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design, and quality problems, and ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods.
  • Evaluate problems regarding assembly and manufacturing processes; recommend product design, tooling, or process changes to reduce cost or simplify the manufacturing process.
  • Test, observe, and visually inspect tooling used in the production process to determine and establish standard data for production processes.
  • Design tools and machines used to manufacture products.
  • Review production program equipment, hardware, and tooling; makes recommendations for repairs or replacement.
  • Oversee the development of new processes, methods, and production controls.
  • Install new equipment, ensuring it operates correctly. 

 Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a project from concept to implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a change leader.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Solid Works, Fusion, AutoCAD, MS Office.
  • Strong knowledge of lean principles and tools used in manufacturing, and ability to train the principles.
