As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will be trusted to design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX!

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Executing Revalidation Assessments for all manual, semi and fully automated production processes.

  • Optimizing Revalidation Assessment site guidelines.

  • Implementing CFR 21 Part 11 compliance guidelines in all applicable production equipment.

  • Developing Manufacturing Capacity Models to support project prioritization and capital investments.

  • Designing arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure most efficient and productive layout.

  • Designing the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions.

  • Conducting tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshooting/solving production problems.

  • Providing guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

  • Ensuring that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.

  • Inspecting performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigating and initiating corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.

  • Providing guidance to R&D regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

  • Statistical Process Control Monitoring.

What you’ll bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

  • Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST

  • Travel Requirements: 0 – 5%
