Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking an entry level Manufacturing Support Team Member for a position in Troy, AL to support production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. This position will serve as the Point Of Contact for all activities related to tooling within the production building. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

Job duties assigned to the Support Team Member, including, but not limited to:

Planning and coordinating equipment maintenance and/or repair activities with a cross-functional team, including members from Operations, Property Management, Facilities, Finance, Contracts, Quality, Calibration, Transportation, and Production, Planning, and Control (PP&C)

Accurately tracking and documenting inventory and ensuring adherence to guidelines for proper care and handling of tooling throughout all periods of equipment lifecycle, including receiving, maintaining, repairs, and dispositioning

Building effective relationships with Lockheed Martin personnel across different functions and business areas as well as with Government and contractor employees

Preparing for and conducting audits of tooling with custodians and the customer to ensure accountability of property.

Working closely and cooperatively with ESH to ensure that safety and environmental policies and procedures are followed

Responsible to the Program Manager for day-to-day operations of a work group/team as it relates to activities involving tooling, including status on quality, performance, and schedule. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that goals are accomplished, amended, and set according to Program requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, OR equivalent experience/combined education.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.

Ability to establish and maintain strong effective relationships with both Lockheed Martin and Government employees.

Ability to speak publicly to groups of various sizes in both formal and informal settings.

Excellent oral, active listening, and written communication skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and Systems, specifically Word and Excel.

Ability to accurately track and monitor all aspects of a large inventory of equipment in various stages of operation.

Strong organizational skills.

**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired skills
Ability to provide leadership and obtain Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt certification

Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Missile & File Control’s Pike County Operations operational procedures

Working knowledge of and exposure to managing cost, quality, and schedule metrics.

Exposure to supervisory duties, ability to maintain good employee relations within a team

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Security Clearance Information
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $47,800 - $91,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $54,900 - $103,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
