Responsibilities

Marine Engineer Support (Mid-Level) to US Navy Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Program Executive Office (PEO)The successful candidate will provide engineering/technical support to the Navy PEO for US Navy ships, boats, and craft, to include Combat Logistics Force (CLF) ships, special mission ships, and foreign military sales assets.

 

The Marine Engineer will provide naval architecture, marine engineering, electrical engineering and in-depth engineering support for the Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E); Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Intelligence (C4I); and mission equipment and systems installed aboard ships, boats, craft and targets assigned to the PEO. This support will also include concept studies; feasibility studies; preliminary design activities; contract design activities; detail design and construction activities; independent design reviews; In-service ship design and engineering activities; shipboard installation support; and special studies related to ships/boats/craft, ship systems and/or shipboard equipment.

Qualifications

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering or Transportation
• 3+ years DoD/Navy program management, Government technical management
• Experience with DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process)
• Experience in Foreign Military Sales
• Experience in ship operations and/or shipboard testing
• Secret Clearance

 

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Engineering discipline
• 5+ years program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management
• Experience in Military Sealift Command (MSC) procedures and processes
• 2nd Assistant Engineer Steam or Diesel or 2nd Mates Marine Navigation License (Unlimited Tonnage) – active or inactive

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
