Position summary:
Material Handlers are responsible for the accurate storing, shipping, receiving and delivery to production of product to meet
company standards of safety, security, and productivity.
Educational requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Skills and experience:
Must meet license requirements for powered material handling equipment to include forklift operator license.
Must have previous forklift experience. Forklift license and forklift experience is required for applicant to be considered an eligible bidder. Must be able to read and write sufficiently to perform job functions.
Essential duties:
Insure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
Load and unload yarn from trucks.
Pull yarn orders for yarn preparation.
Move and locate yarn in the warehouse using scanners.
Record all cases located into warehouse locations, on the Raw Material Warehouse Case Location Record (FQ-137).
Do daily inspection on lift truck equipment.
Locate material in their designated areas.
Maintain housekeeping
Comply with safety rules
Comply with environmental regulations
Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.
Ensure ISO procedures are followed.
Perform other duties as assigned
Physical demands:
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Moving yarn boxes weighing up to 250 lbs. with powered material handling equipment.
Must be able to obtain a Medical Examiners Certificate as it permits to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (49CFR 391.49-391.49)
Work environment:
Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.
