Job Description
The candidate will be responsible for the mechanical integration of flight hardware throughout vehicle integration and test. This includes establishing requirements and creating component and subsystem envelope and interface drawings, installation engineering and vehicle configuration engineering. Specific tasks and responsibilities include the following:
• Generate/update solid models using ProE/CREO, create/revise detailed drawings and release engineering work products in EPDM
• Review requirements from various sources (dynamics, stress, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.), working with stakeholders to capture critical needs, and ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of the products
• Perform detailed tolerance stack ups and close clearance analyses to verify the feasibility of design integration
• Must be able to work effectively in an integrated product team environment
• Must collaborate effectively with program leadership, technical leadership, subject matter experts, peers, analysis, configuration control, procurement, planning and integration and test teams to ensure technical requirements, cost objectives, and program schedules are met.
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices and review their designs to ensure they meets the group’s standards
• Generate documentation/host informational sessions on best practices and help maintain group best practices
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Mechanical design and integration knowledge
• Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling and drafting with knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
(GD&T)
• Excellent communication (written and spoken), presentation and interpersonal skills
• Fundamental understanding of other disciplines including stress, dynamics, thermal analysis, production, electronics, systems engineering, etc.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly
Desired skills
• Creo and CAD data management (EPDM) experience with large/complex model assemblies
• Flight hardware experience
• Using CAD model as record of authority (Data Set Rating 4 and/or 6) experience
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin specifications/tools/procedures
• Knowledge of composite structure design and fabrication
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and documentation (familiarity with design for manufacturing principles)
• Experience with integrating complex systems and performing tolerance stackups
• Experience with test methods, planning and execution
• Experience working with other LM operating units
• Hands-on hardware experience
• Experience working with suppliers and customers
• Experience using Confluence and/or Jira
• Active TS/SCI clearance

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $115,500 - $217,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
