The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level Metrology Specialist to join our team in Auburn, WA.
Position Responsibilities:
Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies
Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies
Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities
Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews
Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems
Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs
Coaches and trains others
Works under general direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience doing jobs or tasks where you had to apply math skills such as algebra, geometry and/or trigonometry
3+ years of experience working with precision measuring tools
Capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35 pounds
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
3 to 5 years of calibration experience preferred
Experience working with 3 dimensional measurement systems
Experience working with uncertainty budgeting and analysis
Experience working with interferometry based measuring systems
Experience troubleshooting and resolving test related problems
Ability to communicate and work with internal and external customers as needed
Metrology experience across electrical, dimensional and mechanical physical disciplines preferred
AA degree in Metrology, Electronics or formal Metrology training from US Military preferred
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
