Mold Maker/Mold Repair (Plastic Injection Tooling)

As a Maker/Mold Repair in the field of plastic injection molding, your primary purpose is to perform complex repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance, ensuring that molds will perform optimally and consistently for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex repairs, maintenance, and modifications on plastic injection molds, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.

  • Troubleshoot mold issues, identify root causes of defects, and implement effective solutions to improve mold performance.

  • Utilize various hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and equipment to disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble molds.

  • Conduct regular inspections of all tooling 

  • Keep detailed records of repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities, ensuring accurate documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies throughout the mold repair process.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in mold repair or related fields are a plus.

  • Extensive experience in plastic injection mold building or repair, with a minimum of 10 years in a Mold Maker or similar role.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

  • Strong understanding of various plastic materials and their behavior during the molding process.

  • Demonstrated expertise in using mold repair equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a production environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest quality standards are met.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the production team and other departments.

Schedule:

  • 10-hour shift
