General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The Sales Manager is responsible for carrying out all sales and marketing activities in a specified geographical territory so as to maintain, develop and grow the overall sales volume in that territory in a manner that maximizes profitability.

Key Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Chemistry preferred.
• 5+ years of sales in the chemical industry with a broad understanding of chemical markets (non - oil/gas)
• Working knowledge of chemical types and terminology.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
• The ability to multi-task
• Travel 30-40%

• Strong organizational skills and a self-starter
• Excellent communication skills to develop remote relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Excellent team player

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

• Manage all sales activities in the assigned territory
• Develop new market applications and sales utilizing production facilities
• Prepare timely and accurate forecasts to be delivered to supply management
• Develop and maintain relationships with a customer base
• Interact with the technology team as needed to create new product opportunities
• Assist the Technical Services Group in the development of commercially viable product lines and applications
• Manage the secondary distribution and supply chain

Compensation and Benefits:

• In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $116,500 - $163,033. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.  This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
