Job Summary

The Outside Sales Representative, or Account Executive, is responsible for ensuring customer growth and satisfaction with Miner Ltd. Services within their assigned territory of responsibility. This role will be responsible for the achievement of service revenue and margin growth budgets and growth of active customers utilizing Miner Services. This position reports to reports to the Director of Sales in Utah.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage service revenue and gross margin growth to budget within assigned territories.
  • Prospect, cold call and develop new service customers within assigned territory.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain account specific growth strategies for all products offered.
  • Adhere to defined sales processes including but not limited to pre-call planning, prospecting, needs exploration, solution development, quoting, negotiation and closing business sales.
  • Represent Miner Ltd. as services expert providing consultative support to improve customer operations and solve their unique business needs through proper services and solution application.
  • Provide technical support to assist customers in selecting alternative solutions and ensure proper application of new products.
  • Educate customers and prospects on the products and services available from Miner.
  • Responsible for growth of Proactive Maintenance service contracts, aftermarket accessories & parts sales.
  • Support customer product training and understanding of warranties including assistance on submission of warranty claims when necessary.
  • Support company sales initiatives including but not limited to strategic account initiatives, marketing campaigns, sales blitzes, trade shows and other growth related activities.
  • Assist in Accounts Receivable (when necessary) to ensure prompt payment.
  • Work collaboratively with other sales team members where necessary to generate leads and secure equipment sales opportunities within their assigned customer based.
  • Partner with suppliers to support knowledge development and customer solution opportunities.
  • Develop and present accurate customer quotes for proposed products and services using identified tools in a timely manner to support customer growth.
  • Manage order submissions following established processes ensuring necessary documentation is passed to the operational teams for execution.
  • Coordinate installation (when applicable) with the Service and Installation Department.
  • Utilize company CRM to provide visibility and effectively communicate activity in assigned territory.
  • Track and Present personal Sales Metrics to Management as required.
  • Attend company training programs and accompany other associates or managers during ride along in order to learn job skills.
  • Provide Monthly, Quarterly, and yearly sales forecasting to management as required.
  • Travel within defined territory as required.
  • Travel to vendors and/or remote sales meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Achievement of Revenue and Gross Margin Targets to Budget.
  • Service Contract Signings to plan.
  • New Customer Acquisition results to plan.
  • Management observation regarding attitude, diligence, team contributions, and willingness & ability to learn new skills and information.
  • Other key metrics prescribed by Miner Ltd. leadership, resulting in positive customer and Company impact.


  • Experience in business-to-business sales or equivalent technical experience is preferred. Minimum 3 years is required.
  • Proven record of prospecting and cold calling clients to achieve new business acquisitions.
  • Previous Dock and Door experience is highly desired.
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to understand technical product application is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Experience in Industrial Sales, preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is preferred.
  • Must have valid state issued drivers’ license and clean driving record (Department of Motor Vehicles).
  • Must own “reliable” transportation.
  • The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.

Work Environment

The work is performed in various locations, including warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, refineries and hospital settings. Employees may occasionally work with co-workers’ side-by-side with a moderate level of activity being performed. Exposure to high voltage AC/DC power is very common in many work environments. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
