About the job
Our Richmond manufacturing facility is growing! We are adding a brand-new 3rd shift painter to our lineup, and we’d like to hear from you! This position will be reporting to the Team Manager in the CUF group.
*Candidates hired into this role and shift will receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus.*
Hours are 10:00pm-6:30am, Sunday through Thursday, plus overtime as required
Base pay starts at $17.50 an hour, plus shift differential $1.00/hr, plus annual production-based bonus opportunity
As a part of the team, you will:
- Perform process setups and value add activities utilizing defined operating parameters, following all documentation, to complete daily production demand within assigned team.
- Review and execute paint mixing and application per all manufacturer recommendations, ensuring internal processes meet or exceed necessary requirements.
- Execute quality checks and inspections such as Dry Film Thickness (DFT), Wet Film Thickness (WFT), and blasted part surface profile verification as needed.
- Perform component paint touch up and repairs across the facility per all manufacturer and safety requirements.
- Continuously build job knowledge through execution of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), demonstrating proficiency through SOP audit dialogues and skills matrix development
- Develop the department in accordance with Alfa Laval Production System (ALPS) participating in team performance and improvement meetings. (5S, Root Cause Analysis, Problem Resolution Process (PRP), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), SOP’s etc.
- Observes all company policies
What you know
You have a high school diploma or GED, and:
- At least 1-2 years of previous production experience
- Basic Personal Computer skills
- An ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Fork truck/ crane operations is a plus, but not required.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Candidates interested in company-provided GED program will be considered.
