Job Title: PLC Automation Tech

Summary: Successful candidate will be accountable for safety, health, and environmental issues related to this position. The PLC automation tech will report to Alton Eubanks, Maintenance and Engineering Manager

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Technical or Engineering Degree or Equivalent Industrial Maintenance experience
• Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing facility
• Ability to locate and ready blueprints
• Strong working knowledge of the extrusion process and facility, preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Industrial Maintenance Systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical)
• Ability to manage multiple objectives and deadlines
• Ability to make decisions based on logical analysis of facts and alternative.
• Must be professional and have strong organizational skills
• Must be fluent in Excel, MVP and SAP

Job Responsibilities:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with PLC Network (Data-highway, RsLinx, Bluetooth, etc.)
• Excellent computer skills
• Experience in manufacturing is mandatory
• Strong preference for candidates with ability to program from scratch
• Extensive experience with PLC, HMI and robotics controls programming (Fannuc, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.)

You should be proficient in:

• PLC Troubleshooting Skills
• PLC Programming Experience
