Job Posting: Preventive Maintenance Technician
As a Preventive Maintenance Technician, your goal is to perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks in order to assess failure modes of semi-automated and automated equipment, eliminate wear/tear and emergency maintenance requests. Maintain the preventive maintenance program and keep accurate maintenance records. The Preventive Maintenance Technician ensures that maintenance PMs are completed in a timely and accurate manner to maintain current production requirements. The Maintenance Technician will use continuous improvement to remain proactive in identifying and addressing maintenance related issues.
You will do this by:
- Complies with all safety standards and regulations.
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and minor repairs on all machinery and mechanical equipment, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Coordinates with production to prioritize maintenance repairs to maximize productive time of equipment.
- Work with peers and management to develop, implement and refine Preventative Maintenance actions for manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose and repair or replace worn parts in equipment.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- May weld parts, using arc or gas welding equipment.
Equipment
- Hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, all manufacturing equipment and related energy sources
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification or Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field
- 1-2+ years’ experience working in a Maintenance position in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to use basic math to analyze information
- Experience with computer systems
- Ability to work safely and efficiently
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to be self-directed and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction and written processes
- Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Electrical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certification
- Experience with EPICOR
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to read check sheets
- Ability to use special micrometers and gauges
- Ability to work safely and efficiently
- Ability to work with close tolerances
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction and written processes
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly
Physical | Visual Demands:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to wear appropriate, required PPE
- Ability to work in both humid and cold environments
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing: Loud (Examples: metal can, manufacturing department, large earth moving equipment)

Shift/Hours/Days: Friday – Monday, 10 hour shifts
