ChampionX has an immediate need for a Principal Cloud and Infrastructure Solution Architect located in Sugar Land or Woodland, TX. This position will report to the Director of Cloud and Digital Infrastructure Architecture. Principal Cloud and Infrastructure Solution Architect is a senior technical role that requires a deep understanding of cloud computing, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.

This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud and infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of the organization. This individual will work closely with other technical teams to ensure that the solutions are aligned with the overall corporate architecture and meet the requirements of the business.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop an understanding of our existing IT Infrastructure while actively searching for improvement areas
  • Subject matter expert in Cloud Infrastructure Architecture, Cloud Adoption Framework, and Well-Architected Framework as it relates to cloud infrastructure and native Saas/PaaS offerings
  • Drive corporate-wide process optimization by partnering with Application Architects, and CyberSecurity Engineers to develop architecture roadmaps
  • Design and implement cloud and infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of the organization
  • Work closely with other technical teams to ensure alignment with the overall corporate architecture
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to other team members
  • Stay current with the latest trends and developments in cloud computing and infrastructure
  • Participate in the development of technical standards and best practices
  • Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud and infrastructure architectures, configurations and procedures. Develop and align standards for reference.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10 years minimum of experience in cloud computing and infrastructure
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and trends
  • Dedication to staying current on the latest technologies and best practices through continuous learning and professional development
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture and infrastructure design
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Azure, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, BaaS design and deployment
  • Creative, resourceful and innovative at tackling complex challenges
  • Togaf certification
