Raytheon Technologies is looking for a Principal System Engineer to join our team in Dulles, VA. The Principal System Engineer will contribute to a team of systems engineers and an agile development team in the accomplishment of engineering tasks in an iterative development environment. The candidate will perform systems engineering duties for development of software systems to include: system software requirements, derivation and analysis, development of software interface documentation, and analysis of system architectures and frameworks.

Required Skills:

Typically requires 8 years related experience, (see below for experience/degree requirements)

Ability to obtain a Security Clearance

Experience with systems engineering principles and activities

Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment

System requirements derivation and analysis

Experience developing Interface documentation

Familiarization with software test processes

Familiar with Software based Systems Architecture

Familiar with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks

Familiarity with Cloud environments and tools

Desired Skills:

Tools: JIRA, CONFLUENCE or similar tools

Practical knowledge of the full software development lifecycle

Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using DOORS, Enterprise Architect and JIRA or similar tools

Familiarity with Cloud environments and tools

Education Requirements:

Typically requires Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience, OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience, OR in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
