Summary
The Printing Feeder is responsible for keeping the press running smoothly by feeding the press appropriate corregated stock. The Printing Feeder is the 3rd individual of a 3-person press team and assists the 1st and 2nd Pressmen on our large format press as they maintain our high standard of quality and conforms to all Health and Safety Policies, Rules and Regulations and company procedures, standards, and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Verify customer specifications for each product and validate requirements of job order.
- Follow and complete all work instructions for each job.
- Routinely perform quality checks to ensure standards are met or exceeded.
- Operate a walkie to transport product within and between departments.
- Feed the press in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain ink levels, dampening solution and all other supplies.
- Assist the Pressman with make readies and production.
- Perform wash-ups on the presses.
- Perform troubleshooting requirements and maintains printing equipment.
- Responsible for knowing equipment lockout procedures.
- Record production data as required (paperwork and on computer system).
- Perform general housekeeping and other related duties as required.
- Responsible for knowing and complying with all quality, HAACP and PAC Secure facility requirements.
- Responsible for knowing and complying with all Good Manufacturing Procedures, as well as Safety and PPE policies and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Responsible for the inherent quality of all support services pertaining to production operations.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work within a team environment.
- Must be self-motivated to work independently at times as well.
- Strong mathematical, computer, reading and competency skills are required.
