OnsiteOur process operator/tech performs functions directly related to chemical processing. May use hazardous chemicals to transform them into propellants or use processing in the manufacture of aircraft parts and/or components. Duties could include aqueous cleaning, chemical etching, chromate conversion coating, passivation and/or abrasive blasting.
Compensation:
- $29.00 per hour starting rate.*
- Competitive Benefits Package, including first day Medical.
Schedule:
- This position is for 1st shift.
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Overtime available on a business need basis.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Train employees.
- Coach employees to align with business objectives.
- Responsible for the chemical processing of detailed parts and final assemblies to current spec requirements.
- Be well informed about the disposal of Hazardous Waste.
- Be aware and informed of the Chemicals you work with throughout the day.
- Be knowledgeable of all pertinent customer/company specifications and international standards relating to standards, finishes, special processes, policies, processing, etc.
- Capable of processing acceptable parts and passing all required evaluations for some of the required processes.
- Proper documentation of the process of parts to meet customer requirement.
- Must be able to follow work instructions to ensure the proper processing of parts.
- Must be able properly wear and use Personal Protective Equipment relating to the job performed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a high school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a high school diploma or GED, typically 6 years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be a U.S. Person or Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- 1+ year of SAP experience.
- Demonstrate a continued interest in good housekeeping and safety practices.
- Demonstrate an ability to effectively cooperate and communicate with co-workers and personnel in other departments.
- Capable of interpreting and understanding part drawings and illustrated planning.
